Perhaps this long winter is finally over! We have been blessed with several beautiful days now and it has been wonderful to get outside a bit. Life has been going smooth; it's been fairly slow during the week but I function best that way. That's why things are going so smoothly. :)
We are thankful to report that Baby is still getting along well...we are now officially in the last trimester! I am also glad to be feeling great overall. My energy level is definitely reminding me that we have arrived at the third trimester, but I don't have any reason to complain.
I am enjoying this brief stage of life with two little boys who aren't so high-maintenance anymore. We can actually go outside and play. Read books. Sing together. Enjoy each other's company. Sleep at night and take afternoon naps. Things like that. It's been busy in the past and it's going to get busy in a few months, but for now it is nice to be in a calmer stage.

The highlight of the last week of March was Easter weekend - spent with a broken refrigerator, a Wednesday evening Easter singing, a mini birthday celebration for my Dad on Friday night, hosting potluck on Saturday, Sunday Easter at the Massner home, and Monday "Easter" with the Schulz family at Mitch and Renee's.

The first week of April was a fairly typical week with the doctor visit on Tuesday, story time on Thursday, and having Matt home on Friday. We spent Matt's day off taking a trip to town and eating lunch at Hy-Vee to refresh ourselves on why we NEVER eat in public with children.

| In the middle of piano lessons one day, something happened involving Micah, Levi, and the piano lid that not only resulted in all of Jesse's books falling down during his concerto, but also removed half of Micah's fingernail. Yes, the bandaging was completely overdone, but I couldn't find another way to get my one-year-old to keep a band-aid on his finger while we waited for the wound to stop bleeding! |

The first weekend of April was my brother Travis's baptism, along with three others in Mediapolis. What a blessing to hear how God works in the lives of those who seek him! We got to keep four of the Steffen girls and their future sister-in-law overnight and it was good to catch up with them.
April, week two, began with supper at Blake and Josie's. The rest of the week was pretty slow. The boys and I enjoyed the beautiful weather playing outside! Wednesday evening we went to the Schulz home after church to celebrate Mom's birthday. Micah got the honorable role of being the "1" year old to create her "51"! :)
Our weekend was very slow as all of our plans kind of changed. Friday night Matt was supposed to go work at church to cut down a tree, but instead he didn't get home from work until 10pm. Saturday was supposed to be church cleaning, but it got postponed to the next week. Instead I dedicated my day to potty-training-in-a-day with Levi and it has appeared to be successful so far (two weeks later). That night, Trevor and Allison came over to give us some evening company. The next day we were planning to go to a singing in the evening, but Matt decided everyone was way too tired to leave the house and we were all in bed by 8.

Week three's events were Bible Study on Tuesday, Young Couples on Friday, and then a trip to Bloomfield to visit Tim & Laurie for the weekend. It was such a nice weekend to spend with them and the children loved playing with their cousins! This was also the first time we have been away from home overnight since our stay at the hotel in Ames. It was a much better experience this time. :)

This week has been pretty slow. Matt was gone Monday through Wednesday for work. Thursday I decided it was time to get out, so we went to story time at the library and then met Mom and Billy & Vienna at the park for lunch. The weather has been so beautiful this week!
