A recollect of our fall of 2025... please excuse my brevity!
| We went to the Quad City Air Show, featuring the USAF Thunderbirds! It was a beautiful day for an air show. |
| The next day was our summer birthday party for Joanna and Keenan! |
| Fall memories included...Lanz Nauvoo... |
| a record honey harvest... |
| a bountiful cider day... |
| Micah's trip to Chicago with Grandpa and Grandma... |
| A field trip to Kalona... |
| A lovely Massner ladies' day... |
| and no fall is complete without a good ole' bonfire! |
| We got to visit Daddy at work one day - the kids got a very accurate depiction of life as an engineer. |
Then, it was off on a road trip to Connecticut at 37 weeks pregnant.
| Camille joined us for the ride. I sat with my legs elevated and we stopped every 1.5 hours to walk around and use the lavatory. The kids did really well, as did our drivers. |
| But first, had to make a fun stop at Niagara Falls! |
| And gave our kids the chance to officially become "International Travelers" with a stop on the Canada side of the falls! |
| Got to see the lights before we left! |
| And we made it to Ellington - next up was picture day! |
| We all made it safe and sound to pull off this beautiful family photo! |
| And this one too ;) It was a beautiful fall wedding and we are thankful to have Rhonda join the family! We also were so grateful to have Matt's sister Julie host us for the weekend - it made the weekend so nice to be hosted by family too! |
| The trip home without Camille went smoothly, thanks to many answered prayers! We stopped at the Indiana Sand Dunes for a few hours on our way home to burn off some energy. |
Matt and I spent a night at the Merrill in Muscatine to celebrate our 12th Anniversary. Staying local felt much safer than staying 18 hours away like we had a couple weeks prior. It was a nice time together and we loved the hotel!
| All our dressed up kiddos. |
| We had a fun birthday party for Laurie's 40th! |
| "Overdue Week" is becoming a tradition around here. We spent one day of the 41st week of pregnancy celebrating with a trip to Muscatine - the park, Pearl Button Museum, and ice cream with Dad, then the Discovery Center and arboretum afterwards. The fall colors were beautiful! |
It was such a busy and fun fall, especially preparing for the trip to Connecticut and the wedding in Ellington - it kept me so busy I almost forgot to prepare for the baby, but fortunately baby was 10 days late, so we found time for those things too :) We even met our goal of being halfway through the school year before baby's due date after working hard since July!
And that seems like a good stopping point... baby's arrival will be another story for another day! ;)
