He Passed!

Yes, my hard-studying husband pulled through on the big exam day in April and found out a month later that he PASSED! Matthew Schulz is now certified as a Professional Engineer in the electrical energy field. What does this mean for him? Not very many changes for now, but he can sign off on projects at work and he is probably a little more valuable to his company since they encourage their engineers to get their P.E. It doesn't necessarily mean a job change, but perhaps some new responsibilities in the future. And a good-looking certificate! Congratulations! :)

While we are on the topic of work, Matt reached another milestone this year with his 5th work anniversary in June! He was recognized for the anniversary at the Stanley Conference in June.

And, now for three of about thirty pictures of power lines that I found as I emptied pictures from our camera this week. You probably need to be an electrical engineer to find these photo-worthy, but they do provide a visual on what Matt works with every day. He does the distribution part of it, but these lines are a combination of both distribution and transmission. And that's EVERYTHING I know about THAT. Oh, and those box things on the poles are called transformers. See...I really am picking up on some of his power line lessons for engineer's wives!
